Life is to prove that there are traces of the existence of love. December 4, 2022. Argentina, Ushuaia. Ushuaia is a transliteration, literally translated as the end of the world. As the name suggests, this small town is located at the southern end of South America, close to the Strait of Magellan, the most wild and turbulent place in the world. There are very few flights to and from Argentina's capital BA every day. Most people come here to go to Antarctica, and I am no exception. A year ago, I ended an eight-year relationship. We have traveled to 57 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. The escape from memories made me embark on this long trip to South America, because this is the only continent that is brand new and untainted by any memories. The Antarctic at the end of the journey is the end of my farewell memories. It was very cold in Ushuaia and the wind was extremely strong, and it had that kind of clammy and manic sea breeze. After getting off the plane and looking at the mountains in the distance, it was extremely desolate. Only a few shrubs embellished it with yellow and sporadic green. Even the grass was not what I remembered. It was the kind of hard grass with thorns that could cut people. It would get tangled in clothes when I stepped on it. Looking at the appearance, I thought it was nutritious, but I still took a bite to taste it. Bah, vomited, like chewing wax. On the way from the airport to the hotel, everyone in the carriage was discussing the weather and the beautiful scenery of Qiyi. From time to time, someone could not hide their excitement about setting foot on Antarctica and cheered quietly. And the eagle soaring in the mountains has a panoramic view of everything. This time, it was the first time in my life that I understood why the eagle soared. Because the wind in the mountains is so strong, it doesn't need to flap its wings at all. We also understand why it needs an activity radius of 70 kilometers to survive. Because there is nothing here, only the howling cold wind. When I arrived at the hotel, I told the front desk about the eagle I had just seen. The front desk told me that it was an Andean condor with a wingspan of 3.5 meters. The hotel's facilities are pretty good, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, indoor entertainment facilities, and even a hot tub outside. But I was hungry, so I packed up briefly and went to the bar next to the hotel to get something to eat. The tourists are all older and like to chat. Soon we discovered that we were in the same boat and started exchanging glasses. Time soon came to night, and when I returned to the hotel lobby, I found that more people had checked in. Maybe for them, it was colder than I described. Looking at the crowds at the last stop of my journey to South America, even though it hasn’t officially started yet, it still makes me feel a little reluctant after just having a few glasses of old wine. The noise of the crowd gradually became quiet, and only the stove in the center of the lobby was squeaking. In the dancing flames, I seemed to see her again. She died in a car accident. "It would be too embarrassing to cry now." I tried to remind myself in my mind as my throat became more and more choked up. He quickly took the elevator into the room, put on wind-resistant outdoor gear, took out two cigarettes and immediately walked to the path outside the hotel. The condor circling in the distance has disappeared, and the mountains with a hint of green have been painted into a black and blue background by the sunset. The lighter was so blown that I couldn't light it smoothly, so I had to go back to the lobby and beg for a windproof lighter. Walking to the trail again, I finally managed to light a cigarette. The flickering lights in the distance are different from the blue fire emitted by the lighter. It's a pity that I haven't quit nicotine after a long absence this time. Just like this, I stand here, feeling the nature, holding the natural night of nicotine. A long-lost melody sounded in my mind. Night is the deep eyes of a wolf Lonely waiting for the dawn.
